When, where and how do you vote?
Early voting continues during published hours until 2 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Summit County Board of Elections, 500 Grant St., Akron. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8.

Top race: Emilia Sykes vs. Madison Gesiotto Gilbert for Congress
The two women vying for Ohio’s reconfigured 13th U.S. Congressional District are both millennials who grew up in Northeast Ohio – Emilia Sykes, a Democrat, in Akron and Madison Gesiotto Gilbert, a Republican, in Massillon. The candidates disagree on everything from abortion to who won the 2020 presidential election.

Republicans are ready to reclaim the old 37th Ohio House District in northeastern Summit County, which has largely been redrawn into the new 34th House District on the November ballot. They're hoping Beth Bigham can defeat incumbent Democrat Casey Weinstein in most competitive of five House races involving Summit County.
There's also political intrigue in the race for the 27th District in the Ohio Senate with Republican incumbent Kristina Roegner opposed by Dr. Patricia Goetz, a Democrat.

Summit County voters also will elect people for County Council, judicial roles and state school board. There are even city elections in Akron's Ward 1 and Twinsburg.

Incumbent Republican Gov. Mike DeWine enjoys a big lead in the polls over former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, who is the Democratic nominee. Four other statewide offices also are up for election along with three seats on the Ohio Supreme Court.
