The Iowa State Fair is back in August this year, and you know that means big-time acts are coming to the Grandstand.

In 2022, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kane Brown, Nelly, Alanis Morsette and more entertained with their State Fair performances. This year, the lineup for 2023 include concerts from Eric Church, The Chicks, Ludacris, Jason Aldean, For King + Country and more.

Thursday, Aug. 10: For King + Country

For King + Country opens the Iowa State Fair in 2023.

Christian rockers For King + Country is made up of brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, who won four Grammy Awards. Special guest We The Kingdom opens the 8 p.m. show. Tickets range from $25 to $55.

Friday, Aug. 11: Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line

This year's appearance from Tyler Hubbard will be a solo show, given Flordia Georgia Line's apparent end after a final official performance from the duo at the Minnesota State Fair last summer.

Hubbard is scheduled to take the Kum & Go Stage at 8 p.m. on the first Friday of this year's State Fair. Tickets for the performance range from $25 to $55.

Saturday, Aug. 12: New Kids on the Block

Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood return to the stage in Des Moines this summer at the Iowa State Fair. The New Kids on the Block are known for top hits like “Hangin’ Tough,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” “Step By Step” and more.

NKOTB will take the Grandstand at their 8 p.m. show on Saturday, Aug. 12. Tickets range from $45 to $95.

Sunday, Aug. 13: Country star Eric Church

You may recognize the North Carolina native Eric Church from songs such as "Hell of a View," "Springsteen," "Like a Wrecking Ball," and "Heart on Fire."

Country singer Church takes over the Grandstand at 8 p.m., offering the perfect excuse to go to Church on the Fairgrounds. Tickets for the concert range from $60 to $125.

Monday, Aug. 14: The Black Keys

The childhood friends initially teamed up to form The Black Keys in 2001 and went on to release 11 albums so far. “Lo/Hi” became the band's first single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

This marks the first time The Black Keys have played at the Iowa State Fair. Tickets range from $60 to $125.

Tuesday, Aug. 15: Jeff Dunham

Ventriloquist and comedian Jeff Dunham takes the stage with his “Still Not Canceled” Tour. Dunham brings his lineup of friends, including Walter, Peanut, José Jalapeño on a Stick, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Little Jeff and more.

Tickets go for $30 to $65.

Wednesday, Aug. 16: Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling offers choreographed violin performances at her shows and on her YouTube channel. She performs a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to pop and rock to electronic dance music.

Previously, Stirling performed on “Dancing with the Stars” and “America’s Got Talent.”

She performs with special guest Walk Off The Earth at the 8 p.m. show. Tickets range from $25 to $55.

Thursday, Aug. 17: Country star Maren Morris

For the first time ever, Maren Morris will take the stage at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand.

Morris' third album "Humble Quest" was nominated for a Grammy. In all, Morris received three nominations this year and has 17 Grammy nominations to her credit. She won her only Grammy in 2016 for Best Country Solo Performance.

Morris earned a Grammy Award nomination for her third album, “Humble Quest,” which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Some of her biggest songs include “The Middle,” “Chasing After You,” “The Bones,” “Craving You” and “I Could Use a Love Song.”

Her Aug. 17 show marks the first time she has played at the Iowa State Fair. Special guest Lindsay Ell opens the 8 p.m. show.

Tickets range from $35 to $60.

Friday, Aug. 18: Ludacris and Sean Kingston

Hip-hop star and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges takes the stage with special guest Sean Kingston on Aug. 18.

Ludacris has sold more than 15 million albums domestically. His deep catalog includes blockbuster singles such as “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” and more.

Tickets for Ludacris with special guest Kingston range from $30 to $55.

Saturday, Aug. 19: Country stars The Chicks

Emily Strayer, Natalie Maines and Martie Maguire are The Chicks, performing at the Iowa State Fair this summer.

The Chicks — sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer along with Natalie Maines — are the Grammy Award-winning singers behind “Long Time Gone,” “Wide Open Spaces” and “You Were Mine.”

The Chicks are set to hit the Grandstand at 8 p.m. Tickets go for $60 to $125.

Tickets for Aldean and Kent go for $60 to $125.
