Who's the MVP of the Jaguars so far? One second-year player should immediately come to mind

As the Jaguars hit the bye week, it’s a good time to make a few observations about the season so far and where it could be headed.
This week’s notebook will feature the most valuable player of the first 10 games as well as the best jersey combination and a look ahead to what Jacksonville needs to do to turn its season around.

With seven games remaining on their schedule, the Jaguars are currently in third place in the AFC South and still have three division games left to play.
Here are three observations:
Campbell shines as ‘most valuable’ player
When thinking of the team MVP a few names should come to mind. Rayshawn Jenkins has at least one impact play per week, finding his footing after a season-ending injury forced him to rehab throughout OTAs and part of training camp.
Jawaan Taylor is having a fantastic year and is on track to potentially have his best season as a pro.
Christian Kirk has emerged as a great target for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has had an up and down year, but looks like a much-improved player from his rookie season.
Don’t forget about Travis Etienne, the second-year player who has turned into one of the most consistent running backs in the league.
But to me, the undisputed most valuable player for the Jaguars is Tyson Campbell.
Campbell has been the most consistent player for Jacksonville tracking back to even training camp where he emerged as the most impressive player on either side of the ball.
In a secondary that’s down a starter and having to face off against some of the league’s best players on a weekly basis, Campbell has become a star.
He’s already matched his interception total from last season through 10 games and has added on eight pass deflections. Most quarterbacks have begun to steer clear of him, taking less shots on his side of the field and attacking the corner opposite of him.
Only in his second season, Campbell’s ascension is a good sign for the future of Doug Pederson’s club.
Best jersey combination
The Jaguars have worn several good jersey combinations this season. The all-teal combination against the Raiders was an eye-catcher, just like the teal jersey with the black bottoms they sported against the Texans.
The white jerseys with teal pants in the rainstorm against Philadelphia was an interesting choice.
But nothing tops their all-black affair against Denver in London. The black helmets, jerseys, pants and socks were a thing of beauty.
What made it even better were the hits of teal outlining the black and the white numbers really popped with the black background.
Hopefully we'll get a chance to see it again this season.
Observations for rest of the season
The projection for this team when they were 2-1 versus their current record almost makes it feel like we’ve watched two different teams.
The win against the Chargers signified a hungry group of players and a coach who brimmed with confidence. But losing six of the next seven games it seems like this is a team that can’t get out of their own way.
At the start of the season the offense didn’t play complimentary football. Jacksonville’s defense posed as one of the leagues best, creating turnovers and getting Trevor Lawrence the ball back.
Now, those roles have flipped. The defense is the side of the team that struggles as the offense strings together drives and scores points.
The biggest need going into the rest of the season: consistency.
If they can come together in all three phases and put forth their best performances, this team has a chance to get some of the stain off them by the end of the regular season.
If not, start eyeing those top draft prospects (Jacksonville holds the No. 5 pick currently) and it’ll be another year of drafting inside the top 10.
Lambo's lawsuit dismissed, signs with Titans
Former kicker Josh Lambo's lawsuit against the Jaguars was dismissed earlier this week.
Lambo sued the Jaguars for back pay for emotional distress caused by former head coach Urban Meyer last year.
Lambo was cut from the Jaguars after signing Matthew Wright last season in October and the team fired Urban Meyer in December.
Lambo signed with the Titans this week and could possibly face his old team twice when the Jaguars face off against Tennessee on Dec. 11 and Jan. 8.
