The Vermont Secretary of State Elections Division has published a list of all those running in the state's Democratic, Progressive and Republican primaries in August.
The list, finalized June 2, shows what could be significant changes to state leadership.
Vermont may see its first woman in Congress, as several women are seeking roles in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Six out of the eight major party candidates running for U.S. representative seats are women, as well as three out of the seven primary candidates for U.S. senator.
