WHS 4th at Madison
Jan. 2—MADISON — The Washington Hatchets wrestled at the Cub Classic in Madison. The team got 4th place.
The lone Washington winner was Brady Byrd, the 113 lb champion who wrestled up a weight class. Byrd,17-1, won by major decision over Berke Eisenhauer of Heritage Hills) by decision. Jordan Emmick 106 lb in 2nd place, Jack Whitehead at 138 lb in 3rd place, also Ruben Gutierrez in 3rd place as a HWT and Righley Purdue at 132lb in 4th place.
Hamilton Heights won with 272.5 points, 2nd was East Central 261.0, 3rd was Heritage Hills 241.0, Washington took fourth 161.0 5th Madison Consolidated 160.0 6th Switzerland County 135.0 7th Tri West 106.0 and 8th Paoli 57.0.
