Ariana Grande's former Victorious co-star and longtime friend, Liz Gilles, went on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Wednesday night and explained why she did not attend Ari's wedding to Dalton Gomez in May.

"I could not get off of work to go to her wedding because we would have to be cleared for like seven days to fly," Liz said according to E! News. She explained that since the wedding was secret she couldn't tell anyone about it and couldn't get the day off. Of course, she said she "would have been there" if she could. Liz is currently filming season four of Dynasty, where she plays Fallon Carrington.

Liz and Ariana originally met when they starred in 13 on Broadway together in 2008. They later went on to both star in Victorious and have remained very close since the show ended in 2013. "She’s like blood to me, she’s like my sister," Liz said in a 2015 interview with People. "So unless we have a massive falling out, nothing will be happening there. [Laughs] We lived together, I’ve known her since what feels like the beginning of time, but really it’s been seven years since all this started."
