We are truly all in Zac Efron's hair adventure together. After rocking crimped hair, ditching his shaggy High School Musical cut, and even trying out dreadlocks, the actor revealed another dramatic transformation.

During an appearance at the Sundance Film Festival, Efron unveiled a much lighter hair color. As pointed out by E! News, everyone's favorite member of the Wildcats now has platinum blonde hair. Pairing the blonde coloring with facial hair in his natural brunette shade, Efron shared his very memorable reason for the look — and it didn't have anything to do with a role. "It’s just for life, bro," he reportedly said of the color change. There you have it, Efron's blonde hair is apparently just part of who he is now.

The Sundance appearance marks the first time that we've seen the complete hair color change. The actor had given fans a small glimpse at his blonde hair in a January 9 Instagram post, but a perfectly placed beanie hid much of the dye job.

As we continue to contemplate a future with platinum blonde hair, fans on social media are sharing their thoughts regarding the look. One user posed the question we all have, tweeting, "Sooo can we talk about Zac Efron’s new hair?!" While others declared the look "a blessing," saying, "Zac Efron bleached his hair and I’m 100% here for it." One Twitter follower even pointed out that Zac now has a hair doppelgänger, writing, "Zac Efron looks like Guy Fieri with bleach blonde hair."

Efrom may have claimed this dye job is "for life," but it's likely this won't be the last time fans are surprised by one of his beauty decisions . As Elle reports, the star has donned light hair shades in the past, including platinum blonde ends and highlighted brunette hues in 2016.
