January began with reports in Page Six, People, E!, and more indicating that Kim Kardashian is on the cusp of filing for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage. It has been nearly a month since, and Kardashian hasn't filed yet. That isn't because they're about to reconcile, sources have made clear to Entertainment Tonight and Us Weekly in new reports this week. The couple is very much still moving toward ending their marriage.

Us said the delay is just because Kardashian and West are still working on their settlement. "Kim wants the divorce settlement finalized before formally filing," one source told the outlet.

A second source added that “Kim has had all of her and Kanye’s financials and properties ready to be split; it’s a very fair deal for everyone. Kim has all of her assets and financials ready for when she decides to file officially. Friends thought she was going to file in September, but she’s holding out. That does not mean that everything behind the scenes is already done.” That source said that Kardashian has accepted the situation and in individual counseling: "She is at peace with where her life is headed."

Kardashian and West are living largely separate lives now. "They have not been together in weeks and didn’t spend the holidays together," Us's first source said. "Kim wants to be there for Kanye and help with this transition." She will always love West, the source added: "he’s the father of her four children and his welfare is a huge concern to her."

A source gave Entertainment Tonight details about how their family is doing, including their four kids North, 7; Saint, 5; Chicago, 3; and Psalm, 1. "Kim and Kanye are still heading for divorce," the source said. "The couple hasn't seen each other much lately, but still communicate regularly. Kim continues to live in Calabasas and Kanye is spending time in and out of Wyoming."

"The kids don't know much of what's going on because they are young, but also this isn't new to them," the source continued. "Kim and Kanye have always been so busy traveling and in and out that Kanye not being there isn't shocking. At the end of the day, Kim and Kanye will do what is best for their kids and are on great terms as parents."
