Why motorists will see detour signs next week on Coxes Creek Road in Somerset Township

SOMERSET TWP. ― A daylight detour is scheduled to start next week on state Route 4005, aka Coxes Creek Road, according to PennDOT's District 9 office.

Stream bed paving for a structure on Coxes Creek Road is to start on Monday, and the work will require a daylight detour from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The 11-mile detour involves Coxes Creek Road, Bakersville Edie Road (Route 4001) and Route 31 and will be in place for 10 days or less, according to PennDOT.
