Over the last few years, rapper Rich the Kid has been in the news more for his extracurricular activities than his music.
Early Monday morning, the Atlanta rapper, born Dimitri Leslie Roger, was arrested in Miami for allegedly crossing over police tape and entering an active crime scene despite being told he was not allowed to. He’s been charged with two misdemeanors — trespassing and resisting an officer — according to NBC 6 South Florida.

More from NBC 6 South Florida:
Roger then allegedly headed to the back of the property where he was confronted by security staff who advised him that the property was closed and that he was not allowed there. The rapper replied to security “stop me” and jumped the fence onto the property, the arrest affidavit said.
When he encountered police who ordered him to leave the property, the arrest affidavit said he continued to linger and would not leave.
While he didn’t make bond in 20 minutes, he wasn’t too far off, as he was released later Monday morning. He even hopped on Instagram Live shortly after, throwing money in his car.

While it appears he isn’t hurting for money, the rapper hasn’t been too active in the music scene lately. His last full-length project was the collaborative effort with Lil Wayne, “Trust Fund Babies.”
His last solo studio album, “BOSS MAN,” was released in March 2020.
