Why is this tiny home listed for $2M in Missouri? A secret is hidden way underground
Thanks to the likes of end-of-the-world scenarios highlighted by film and television recently — we’re looking at you, mass fungal infection from “The Last of Us” and whatever bloodcurdling hacking terror was going on in “Leave the World Behind” — and, well, real life pandemics, people on the hunt for bunkers have been on the rise.
And we believe we found the perfect one.
On the outside, this estate that sits on 10 acres in Polo, Missouri, might look like a tiny house with a massive price tag — a $2 million one, to be exact. But looks can be deceiving, because deep down beneath the surface, an entire world awaits.
“In an era where even technology titans are grabbing headlines for their investments in personal safety, such as this end-of-the-world bunker, this property emerges as a true testament to visionary planning,” the listing on Realtor.com says.
“Offering a spacious 10,007 square feet of modernized underground space, this bunker enjoys a strategic location just 35 minutes away from Kansas City, making it a truly exceptional find.”
Features of the bunker include:
2.5-feet-thick concrete walls
3,000-pound blast doors
Kitchen
Two bathrooms
Living room
Bedrooms

“One of its standout attributes is self-sufficiency, with a private water well, a new pump, and a substantial 10,000-gallon stainless steel water storage tank, all seamlessly connected to an Aquasana Water Filtration System,” the listing says.
There’s even an emergency escape hatch and a communication tower that would make any prepper swoon.
