Why Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lea attended MBA vs. CPA game Thursday

Second-year Vanderbilt football coach Clark Lea was on the sidelines Thursday night at his alma mater.

Lea stood on the sidelines for MBA's home game with CPA, a non-region contest. CPA is coached by Ingle Martin, who played football for the Big Red with Lea.

Lea currently has a college commitment from CPA wide receiver London Humphreys. Humphreys had four catches for 71 yards in a half during the Lions' 28-0 win over BGA last week. He had 45 catches for 1,100 yards in 2021 in his first season of high school football.

MBA's Gabe Fisher and Jonothan Moore may also be on Lea's recruiting radar. Both attended Vanderbilt's home game last week after being invited by the program. Fisher, a two-sport star and The Tennessean's boys athlete of the year in 2022, is an offensive lineman and defensive lineman for the Big Red. Fisher has 15 total tackles and a sack.

Moore is in his first year as the team's starting running back. He is averaging 125.3 yards per game and has eight total touchdowns.
