Wichita Falls area churches announce services

First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls: First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls has changed some worship service times for their campuses. We invite you to join us at any of our services.

The Downtown campus, 1200 9th Street, will host their Blended Worship with Choir, Praise Team and Orchestra on Sundays at 8:15 a.m. Contemporary Worship is offered at both 9:45 and 11 a.m.

The West Campus, 4317 Barnett Road, has Contemporary Services at 9:45 and 11:00 a.m. each Sunday. The Church at Sheppard, 2101 Puckett, will offer Contemporary Services at 9:45 and 11 a.m.

Life Groups are available for every age each Sunday.

Sunday morning services are broadcast live over CFNT, cable channel 10 or over the air o n20.1 or 24.1 each Sunday at 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Services are also streamed over our website as well as our Facebook page.

First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Taft Blvd.: At 10:30 A.M. worship this Sunday, November 21, 2021, Rev. Michael Morris, Assistant Pastor, will preach. His sermon is based upon Matthew 6:25-34 and is titled “Anxious for Nothing.”

Volunteers from the Church are out in the Wichita Falls community today, delivering turkeys and fixings to families in Wichita Falls for their Thanksgiving celebrations.

The 75th annual performance of George Frederic Handel’s “Messiah” has been moved from December 12, 2021 to Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 3:30 P.M.

An Advent sermon series, “Prepare for Joy: The Gospel of Luke” will begin on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Sunday School for K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 takes place from 9:30 A.M. to 10:15 A.M. each Sunday in the Hallelujah Hallway. The Youth Group for grades 6 through 12 gathers from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. in the Undercroft each Wednesday. Crossings will meet in the Fellowship Hall from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. each Wednesday night until December 15. Children’s choir is offered, immediately following Crossings on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 6:30 P.M. in the Theater.

Sunday morning worship will continue by live stream and in-person worship in the Sanctuary at 10:30 A.M. The Church’s COVID-19 protocols can be found on the Church’s website, myfirstpres.org.

First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park, 201 E. Bank: Come worship with us at 9 a.m. Sundays. Social distancing and safety precautions are observed. At this time we still are not having Fellowship or Sunday school events.

First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls, 909 10th Street: Worship with First UMC Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in-person or live on TV-KJBO and online at www.fumcwf.org/live.

Floral Heights United Methodist Church, 2214 10th Street: Sunday, Nov. 21 - 9 a.m. Sunday School, 10:10 a.m. worship in the Sanctuary & Facebook Live, 1:15 a.m. Hanging of the Greens. Wednesday, Nov. 24, – Friday, Nov. 26 Office closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Mount Pleasant will have Senior Citizens Day during the 10 a.m. service. The morning worship will be led by Senior members. Sunday School is 9-10 a.m. Morning worship will start at 10 a.m. All members are asked to use the Harding St. entrance and wear a face mask. If you can't make the service the deacons will be available on the Bailey Street side of the church 30 minutes after service if you would like to contribute to the tithes, offering and receive the Lord's Supper. New Hope Presbyterian: We continue meeting at 10:30 in a temporary location at 812 Travis, Wichita Falls. This is the site of Red River Valley Dance Association. We will be able to social distance, and we will have masks available for any that wish to wear them inside. But we will once again be able to worship together. Our services will continue to be available on our FB page and our webpage for those locally and around the country that have joined over the past year.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1420 Borton Lane: New Jerusalem offers meals for shut-ins, food distribution through the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank Mobile Pantry, clothing and health checks on the fourth Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon. St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1318 Harding: The church family will celebrate their Pastor Billy J. Robinson and his wife, First Lady Gertrude Robinson’s 45th anniversary Nov. 14, during the 11 a.m. worship service.

Guest speaker will be Overseer Leonard Jones and the Pillar of the Ground in the Church of Wichita Falls.

Due to the current COVID situation, there will be limited seating for members and invited guess.
