In October 2021, the National Center for Exploited and Missing Children contacted Wichita Falls Police about a local individual uploading child pornography.

According to allegations made in an arrest warrant:

A subpoena served to the service provider identified the suspect as Nicholas Simmons.

During an interview with police, Simmons identified his phone number and email address and said he had Adobe photo-editing software on his phone until the service was canceled. He said he had two different Adobe software accounts he used to edit photos.

The investigator showed Simmons a photo of a child, along with the child's mother and Simmons in a group. Simmons identified the child by name and said he knew the woman.

The child’s face had been edited and placed on some child pornography. Simons denied any knowledge of that. A search warrant of Simmons' Adobe account found numerous child pornography images.

Some of the images had been altered and replaced with another child’s face. Some adult pornography images were also altered to show children's faces.

Police found 14 Adobe applications with child porn images stored on them as well as 47 adult pornography images that had been edited and faces replaced.

Warrants were issued and Simmons was arrested Wednesday.

He is charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography and his bond was recommended at $360,000.
