A Russian missile strike hit Avdiivka early Nov. 4, Donetsk Oblast Military Administration Acting Head Ihor Moroz wrote on Facebook, without giving any further details.

There have been numerous reports of damage from artillery shelling and missile attacks throughout the region over the past 24 hours.

In addition, four private houses were damaged by an enemy attack on Novoukrainka, in the Volnovakha sector of the front, and Vuhledar is under fire, Moroz wrote, adding that the Maryinka community’s Ilyinka and Kostantynivka settlements in Donetsk Oblast were shelled with artillery and mortars.

The outskirts of Kurakhove and Selydove came under fire as well, he said.

Seven private houses in the Kostantynivka community’s Ivanopil settlement, four private houses and three multi-storey buildings in the Chasovyar community were also damaged by Russian artillery strikes in the Horlivka sector of the front.

In the Lysychansk sector, two houses and a non-residential building in Siversk were damaged, and five shelling attacks were recorded in the Lyman community.

No casualties have been reported over the past 24 hours. Over the last day, 66 combat engagements took place in various sectors of the frontline, with the Russians continuing in their attempts to encircle Avdiivka, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said on Nov. 4 in its summary of the previous day’s events.
