WilCo Administers 15K Coronavirus Vaccines So Far

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The county's hub vaccine provider Family Hospital Systems since Wednesday has administered some 15,000 vaccines for the coronavirus to residents who were preregistered, officials said Thursday.

On Tuesday, the Williamson County Commissioners Court approved a contract with Curative Inc. to set up additional vaccination sites pending being named a hub provider by the Texas Department of State Health Services, officials said in an advisory..

Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell is scheduled to share further details on steps the county is taking toward fulfilling high demand for the vaccine, officials said. To that end, a virtual news conference hosted by Gravell is scheduled on Friday at 11:30 p.m.
