Wildfire near Lake Nacimiento destroyed a structure, burned 14 acres
A wildfire near Lake Nacimiento destroyed a structure and scorched 14 acres of grass, according to Cal Fire.
The blaze ignited on Friday afternoon at about 3 p.m. near the 4000 block of Interlake Road in the Oak Shores community, which is southwest of Bradley near the border between San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, the fire had a moderate rate of spread with the potential to burn about 100 more acres, emergency responders said on the police radio.
By 4:30 p.m., the fire had destroyed one structure, Cal Fire said via Twitter.
By 6 p.m., the fire was 100% contained, Cal Fire said.
