Wildfire Near Osoyoos Prompts Evacuations as British Columbia Declares Provincial State of Emergency

The government of British Columbia declared a provincial state of emergency on July 20 as wildfires prompted dozens of evacuation orders.

Officials said 296 wildfires were burning in the state as of July 20, with 44 evacuation orders in place.
