How wildfires are impacting wine industry in Napa, Sonoma counties

In the past five years, wildfires have wiped out neighborhoods in Sonoma County and ruined wineries and resorts in Napa County. This year has been particularly severe, with wildfires destroying more than 3,000 buildings in Northern California’s wine country. KCRA 3’s news partners at the San Francisco Chronicle have been working on a story to show the impact of the wildfires on the region. Writer J.D. Morris and wine critic Esther Mobley are leading the series of stories at the Chronicle. In the video above, Morris and Mobley describe how the wildfires are impacting wine country and what it takes to cover this big story.
