At 90, William Shatner blasted into outer space last year as a passenger on the Jeff Bezos-owned Blue Origin rocket.

What can he do for a follow-up? For starters, the legendary "Star Trek" actor plans to come to Novi.

Shatner will be attending Motor City Comic Con, the biggest pop culture gathering of its kind in Michigan. The event runs May 13-15 at Suburban Collection Showplace.

By that time, he will be a venerable 91.

Announced Tuesday morning, Shatner's appearance will bring the O.G. of "Star Trek" heroes, Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise, to the Con on May 13 and 14. He will be doing autographs for $120 and photo ops for $130.

Tickets go on sale at noon Tuesday.

Shatner is famous for playing Kirk on the "Star Trek" TV series from 1966 to 1969 and in seven "Star Trek" movies that launched the film side of the franchise.

The Canadian-born actor also has had a noted career apart from the sci-fi classic in roles like attorney Denny Crane on "The Practice" and "Boston Legal," a character that won him two Emmys.

Shatner made back-to-back appearances at Motor City Comic Con in 2014 and 2015. Another original cast member, George Takei, aka Sulu, was there in 2019 for the 30th anniversary of the event, which drew about 70,000 people.
