'Leave No Trace' training offered
The Williamson County Conservation Foundation is offering an online Leave No Trace for Williamson County Preserves training for people who want to access to county preserve areas.
The class will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday via Webex. Leave no Trace is a program by the Center for Outdoor Ethics. The training allows participants to hike and bird watch in Williamson County preserves, including Twin Springs Preserve. Individuals 12 and older need their own pass; ages younger than 12 must be accompanied by a pass-holding adult.
The meeting will go live approximately 10 minutes ahead of the posted time to allow everyone time to log in and get set up.

Lawn & Garden 101 class set
A seven-week Lawn & Garden 101 class will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 1 through March 15 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, 100 Wilco Way, Room 226, Georgetown.
The course will teach practical steps for selecting plants that grow well in Williamson County, conserving water in landscapes and caring for lawn and trees. Topics will also include vegetable and herb gardening, succulents and common gardening mistakes and how to avoid them.

Dance for disabled people Feb. 12
The Kyle Parks and Recreation Department will host the first Dance for People with Disabilities - Valentine’s Day from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Krug Activity Center, 101 S. Burleson St.
The event is free and open to individuals of any age with a disability. Event activities include a themed dance party with DJ music and swag bags. Attendees will have the option to purchase concession items including candy, soda, cookies and chips for $1 each.
Due to occupancy limits, the number of participants will be capped to 75 people. Participants who require assistance must be accompanied by a parent, caregiver or any individual providing assistance. Both the participant and individual providing assistance will be counted towards the total capacity number.
