Williamson County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 70% of people fully vaccinated

Williamson County has administered more than 838,977 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as of Dec. 7, according to data from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

That's up 2.47% from the previous week's tally of 818,787 COVID-19 doses administered.

In Williamson County, 70% of people living in Williamson County are fully vaccinated as of Dec. 7. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Texas reported 4,361,295 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 0.59% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Texas as of Dec. 7 are Presidio County (79%), Webb County (79%), Maverick County (76%), Hudspeth County (75%) and Starr County (74%).
