Williamson County to start realigning CR 332 Monday

JARRELL, Texas (KXAN) – Williamson County leaders plan to realign a county road in Jarrell starting Monday.

The county said it plans to widen the existing two lanes, add shoulders and smooth the curves of County Round 332 just south of FM 487 near Jarrell Elementary School.

According to the county, the area experienced “immense growth” recently and the county needs to keep pace.

The county said the current curve on CR 332 is too sharp for safety design standards especially with larger vehicles.

The county hopes to eventually build CR 332 to a four-lane road from FM 487 to CR 313.

Construction should be finished in the fall of 2024, according to the county.
