For sale: Parker House on Main salon space

A historic property on Franklin's town square is now for sale. Real estate broker The Miles Team on July 6 listed the building at 341 Main St., currently the home of the Parker House on Main salon, for $10 million. The two-story, 3,571-square-foot space was built in 1905 and is zoned for commercial use. More information about the property is available at milesrealestateteam.com.

Closed: Cool Cafe

Chef Tim Ness shocked Franklin residents in late June when he announced he was closing Cool Cafe, the meat-and-three that operated at the corner of Hillsboro Pike and Mack Hatcher Parkway for nearly 17 years. The restaurant served up its last meals on July 2, freeing up husband-and-wife team Tim and Pat Ness to retire after decades in the restaurant business.

"(Customers are) going to be remembering the food forever, and the banana pudding," Ness told The Tennessean. "They're already yelling at me now. 'Where am I going to go now? Where am I going to eat next week?'"

Coming soon: Taziki's Mediterranean Café

Taziki's Mediterranean Café, a fast casual chain that's already familiar to diners throughout Middle Tennessee, will also open a new location at Berry Farms. The menu there offers familiar Mediterranean fare including gyros, salads and grilled entrées, and it's set to open in early 2023.

Coming soon: Biscuit Love

Nashville breakfast spot Biscuit Love announced it will lease space in the growing Berry Farms neighborhood south of Franklin. The trendy local chain serves scratch-made biscuits and Southern-inspired plates. The Berry Farms location, the company's fourth, is set to open in the fall.

Reopened: The Find

Secondhand boutique The Find settled into a new retail space at The Factory in late June after taking a month off to move. The new location brings the same vibe as the former location, with rows of pre-loved styles and vintage threads.
