Willmar City Council to meet Monday

Apr. 17—WILLMAR — The Willmar City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board chambers at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building in Willmar. The meeting will be in person and through electronic means.

A public hearing will be held on amending the zoning ordinance to allow multi-family housing in the general business district. Public wanting to call into the hearing can dial 320-335-7135. The area code must be dialed.

The council will consider approving changes the 2021-2022 AFSCME Council No. 65 general unit labor contract and the Public Works Unit labor contract.

The council will also consider taking part in the Speak Your Peace Civility Project and consider eliminating the current city council committee structure and implementing a direct city administrator to city council agenda process.
