Willmar School Board meets Monday to make revisions to 2020-21 budget

Apr. 11—WILLMAR — A revised budget for the 2020-21 school year is on the agenda when the Willmar School Board meets at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Willmar Education and Arts Center.

The board meets in the center's rehearsal hall to allow for social distancing.

The pandemic prompted many changes since the original budget was adopted last spring. Mid-year revisions are routinely done.

Also on the agenda is an agreement between the school district and the city of Willmar for the use of land near the Willmar Civic Center, where the city plans to develop athletic fields.

The board will also consider agreements with eight employee bargaining groups.

The board sets aside time to hear comments from the public regarding agenda items at the beginning of the meeting and hears comments not related to the agenda at the end of the meeting.
