Wilmington Reports 10 Active Cases, Uptick Among 'Younger Folks'

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington reported 10 active confirmed coronavirus cases, Monday, the first time the town's caseload hit double digits since early June. An additional four residents are in quarantine for potential exposure.

Health Director Shelly Newhouse said there has been "a small uptick in cases in Wilmington in our younger folks."

She quoted Anthony Fauci, who recently called on young people to follow guidelines.

The town's case count dropped to nine on June 9. and had not risen above that level since. Only three residents had confirmed cases, Tuesday.
