It looks like an Indochine restaurant is coming to Brunswick County.

After many years serving a loyal clientele at the original Indochine at 7 Wayne Dr. in Wilmington, owner Solange “Niki” Thompson recently started expanding with the help of her team and staff. They opened Indochine Express in Monkey Junction in late 2020 and Cafe Chinois joined the restaurant group last year.

Now, she says there will be an Indochine presence in Southport.

Not many details are known right now, but the restaurant will be at 1131 N. Atlantic Ave. (near the Southport Smoke House) in the former Siam Thai Bistro.
