Wilson County Halloween: Friendship church, Spence Creek and other big candy events

Get ready for some tricks and treats.

Among the Halloween, fall festival and trick-or-treating events in Wilson County scheduled for late October are:

Silver Springs Baptist Church, 9938 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet, 5-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28: Trunk-or-treat with candy trail, hayrides, photo booth and music.

Breedens Orchard, 631 Beckwith Road, Mt. Juliet: Wilson County Public Safety Trunk-or-Treat, 4-8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28: Local police, fire and emergency services will hand out candy at a trunk-or-treat event. Inflatables and food also included.

Maple Hill Church of Christ, 102 Maple Hill Road, 6-7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28: Trunk-or-Treat with more than 50 vehicles that will be decorated and handing out candy. A free hot dog dinner will be available and Split Bean Coffee will be on hand for drinks to purchase.

Lebanon Halloween on the Square, 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29: Candy stations, costume contest for all ages, free hot dogs, photo booth.

The Glade Church, 9000 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Mt. Juliet, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29.: Trunk-or-Treat in the back parking lot.

The Bridge Fellowship, 5066 Lebanon Road, Lebanon, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29: Candy Palooza for children to walk from booth to booth and collect candy.

Immanuel Baptist Church, 214 Castle Heights Ave., Lebanon, 4-6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29: Trunk-or-Treat at the Fall Festival.

109 Church of Christ, 3320 Highway 109 N., Lebanon: Trunk-or-treat, 5-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29. About 40 decorated trunks are expected with games for kids and free chili and hot dogs onsite.

Friendship Community Church, Candy Cruise-In, 15285 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29: Drive-thru trick-or-treat event which is expected to have around 200 vehicles coming through.

Watertown Trick-or-Treat on the Square, 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31: Candy is handed out by businesses and there will also be a costume contest at the Gazebo.

Watertown First Baptist Church, 207 W. Main Street, trunk-or-treat, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31. The church is within walking distance from the square that allows families and kids to hit both events.

Lebanon First United Methodist Church, 415 W. Main Street, Lebanon, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., through Oct. 31: Pumpkin Patch with pumpkins from a Navajo reservation in New Mexico. Proceeds from pumpkin sales go toward the church’s food pantry and other programs and the growers. The church will also hold a fall festival at 5-6:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, with a trunk-or-treat, activities in the gym, hot dogs and an enchanted forest organized by the youth.

Knights of Columbus Pumpkin Patch at Saint Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory: More than 2,500 pumpkins not including small ones were unloaded for sale to support charitable efforts by the Knights of Columbus Council 8292. Hours are 11:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday and 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday through Oct. 31. There is also a Pumpkin Station that sells baked goods, fall treats and soups and drinks in jars. Pumpkin Station hours are 3:30-6:30 p.m., Monday-Friday and 9:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Saturday-Sunday.

These neighborhoods are among those with very large trick-or-treat turnouts on Halloween night, according to police.
