Dec. 14—Wilson's Erika Culp and Berks Catholic's Aubreigh Uba have earned All-American honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Culp, a senior, made the 16-player first team as a forward. Uba, a senior, was named to the 16-player third team as a midfielder.

Culp, the Berks Player of the Year and a third-team selection last season as a midfielder, had 28 goals and a county-leading 32 assists this season in helping the Bulldogs (24-3-1) win the Berks title and finish second in District 3 Class 3A and PIAA Class 3A.

Uba had a county-high 44 goals and 20 assists for a county-leading 108 points for the Saints (19-6), who finished sixth in District 3 Class 1A and qualified for the PIAA playoffs.

Earlier this month, Culp and Uba earned first-team All-State honors for the third straight season.

Both also were selected by the NFHCA to the 16-player All-Region first team for Pennsylvania.

Two other Berks players earned spots on the seven-player All-Region second team: Wilson senior midfielder Catherine Arentz and Twin Valley junior goalie Maddie Stevens.

Arentz had five goals and 11 assists for the Bulldogs. Stevens, who posted nine shutouts this season, helped the Raiders finish fourth in District 3 Class 2A and reach the PIAA Class 2A quarterfinals.

The NFHCA divides high schools into 10 regions: Massachusetts, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, New Jersey, New York, Northern New England, Pennsylvania, South, Southern New England and West.
