When HGTV's Flipping Virgins host Egypt Sherrod started sheltering in place with her family last year, her office quickly became a classroom for her three kids. While this allowed her more time to spend with them, her personal space was nonexistent. "I needed a place where I could go in breathe for a second, maybe meditate, read, journal a bit," she tells House Beautiful, adding that her options were sparse. The real estate broker had to work with what she had. "I created it out of a little storage closet in the back of my laundry room," she reveals.

Yup, a closet. After clearing out the clutter, Sherrod transformed her 4' by 6' foot closet into a cozy meditative area. Inside, she's fashioned a cozy sitting area for herself, surrounded by soft pillows and greenery. She also installed a few shelves and hung up some photos, a door-size macrame wall hanging, and string lights. Since she knew this space would only be temporary, she didn't want to run the risk of damaging the walls with tools. She opted for Command Brand products to style her walls. (If you're unfamiliar with Command Brand, it offers a line of heavy-duty and damage-free hanging solutions — no hardware installation required!)

Now, she wants to help others create their own at-home escape — their own mini getaway. She's teamed up with Command Brand and TripAdvisor for the Book Your Home Getaway sweepstakes. From now until April 23, fans can head to BookYourHomeGetaway.com to enter to win $5,000 to put towards a small space makeover, a design consultation with Sherrod herself, and an assortment of Command Brand products to make it all possible.

"Maybe not everybody has, you know, a big house or a spare room," she says. "But just about everybody has a closet," she continues. Besides a meditative space, Sherrod suggests turning your designated area into a reading or craft nook, or at-home gym.The possibilities are endless—even if the space is limited!
