Snow will bring slick spots through early Tuesday; bitter cold wind chills expected through week

Plan for a cold and snowy week ahead.

Snow will bring slick spots tonight and early Tuesday morning and could also cause school delays. The snow will be light, but because it is so cold, it will stick and become icy if not treated. Areas south and east of Pittsburgh will see the steadiest snow.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday for parts of Greene, Westmoreland counties and the higher elevations of Indiana County.

Around Pittsburgh, Washington, Beaver and Butler, less snow is expected, but even a light coating will cause problems if not treated.

The other story will be the cold temperatures. Highs will stay below freezing through the week and wind chills will drop near or below zero by Tuesday morning and likely below zero by Wednesday.
