Wind-Driven Rain Soaks Upstate South Carolina

Parts of South Carolina were placed under a severe thunderstorm warning on Friday, June 3, as a strong system carrying wind, rain, and hail hit the region, causing power outages, according to officials.

Matt Smith said this footage was taken in Rock Hill, south of Charlotte, near the South Carolina state border with North Carolina.

The National Weather Service had warned Rock Hill could see up to quarter-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
