Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected across parts of southeast Texas on Sunday. Here's what we're tracking.
- I'm ABC 13 meteorologist Aleta Loresco with a look at your one-minute weather. We had some rain and storms this morning, but as we get into the afternoon, the showers coming to an end. Clouds will still be sticking around, but we will get some pokes in the clouds, get some sunshine. You will notice those winds, gusty at times.
Looking breezy with those northerly winds between 10 to 20 miles per hour. Some of the projected winds could gust anywhere between 30, even 40 miles per hour before slowly diminishing as the sun sets. Look for temperatures to top out on this Sunday into the upper 60s to low 70s. So nice little cool down here behind this morning's cold front. Overnight lows will get noticeably cooler.
We will see the winds starting to ease. It will remain calm overnight, and with the clouds clearing out, we've got some maximum cooling conditions. Temperatures should drop off in the low to mid upper 40s. Check out your Monday forecast. Your hour by hour forecast showing temperatures climb to near 67 degrees around lunchtime, and then I'm looking at a high of 74 degrees.
Won't be quite as nice by the middle of the week as our next cold front rolls through. Warm, humid conditions ahead of that on Tuesday with a slight chance for rain. I think we'll see some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Some of those showers could be heavy at times, but it does look like things clear out to close out the week. Good Friday is looking fantastic.
Temperatures in the morning will be in the 40s, highs in the low 70s. The weekend is not looking all that bad, although we start to see some added moisture. So we've added some clouds, and maybe even a raindrop or two. Right now the rain chances are slim at 20%. So certainly not a washout for Easter Sunday. But you need to be prepared for some warmer conditions.
Looking for temperatures to top out near 80 degrees on Easter Sunday. That's a look at your forecast. Thanks for watching.
