Winds Lash Trees as Storm Sweeps Through Washington State

Strong winds blew through southeastern Washington on Monday, November 15, as an atmospheric river brought heavy rain and wind to the Pacific Northwest region.

This footage, posted to Twitter by CA Fire Footage, shows large trees swaying in gusty winds in Pullman, the largest city in Whitman County, Washington.

Wind gusts in the region on Monday reached speeds of up to 42 mph, according to weather reports, while the most powerful gust during the weather event was 93 mph, recorded at Mount Baker in northern Washington. Credit: CA Fire Footage via Storyful
