Windsor closes two schools for the day following positive COVID-19 tests

Windsor High School and Sage Park Middle School will be closed Tuesday for cleaning after one student at each school tested positive for the coronavirus.

In an email to parents, Schools Superintendent Craig Cooke said the action was being taken “out of an abundance of caution to ensure we complete all contact tracing and cleaning of our buildings before the return of students.”

The decision only affects students in grades 6 to 12, Cooke said, and students in group 1 in lower grades would be attending school in person on Tuesday. Students in group two in grades 6 to 12 are expected to return to school on Thursday, he said.

Activities at L. P. Wilson are also canceled for Tuesday.

All schools are closed for cleaning on Wednesdays.
