The Windsor Regional Hospital is surveying the community about the kinds of restaurants, retailers and services they'd like to see at the new Windsor/Essex Acute Care Hospital.

This includes how likely they are to use a farmers market and a natural food store.

Officials have hired the J.C. Williams group to help them develop an ancillary services strategy for the facility.

The survey asks community members, volunteers and staff how much money they spent during their most recent trip to the current Windsor Regional Hospital and how much they spent prior to arriving.

It then asks about their likelihood of taking advantage of a variety of services ranging from package and grocery delivery lockers to a spa, hair salon, apparel store, farmers market and natural food store.

It also asks about the kinds of food venders people would like to see and names a number of popular brands, such as Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Freshii, Extreme Pita and Booster Juice.

In addition, it asks people how likely they are to take advantage of digital integration, such as the opportunity to order food to be delivered to a patient's room.

People have until Jan. 12 at noon to do the survey.

The results will complement the feedback gathered during the Together We Build Community Engagement Campaign in 2022, officials said in a news release about the survey issued Dec. 27.

People can access the survey online.
