Windsor woman killed in Thursday accident

Jul. 29—A 20-year-old Windsor woman was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Thursday, July 28.

According to Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 6:49 p.m. on Woodward Drive. A 2007 Acura TL was traveling east on Woodward Drive when the vehicle crossed the center line, struck an embankment and a tree before overturning, according to Tidwell.

According to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables, the driver of the vehicle was Sara E. Lott, who was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force injuries. She was unrestrained at the time of the accident. A toxicology analysis is pending.

Tidwell said that Lott was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The incident is under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
