Windy weekend, but no dust; stronger winds, dust Monday — Your 9-Day Forecast

It was a beautiful morning this morning. We shot a promo for KTSM, and the secret to shooting in bright sunlight is to put on your sunglasses between each take! Our official high to day was 90. We started out perfect but turned a little windy in the afternoon. The winds only get stronger from here for several days.

TONIGHT:   The skies will be clear, and the light breezes will die down quickly in the early evening.  The SW winds will range from 5-10 mph, and the low will drop to 60.

FORECAST:  Saturday will be sunny with warm winds in the afternoon (no dust), and the high will climb to 90.  The SW winds will range from 10-30 mph. Sunday will be sunny and windy as well (no dust) with a high of 92. The SW winds will range from 10-35 mph.  Monday will be a terrible weather day with strong winds and blowing dust.  The SW-west winds will pick up and gust to near 55 mph as a strong low-pressure system moves through New Mexico.  Monday’s high: 90. Blowing dust is likely to reduce visibility at times on Monday.  Tuesday will be sunny and windy, and those winds will peak at near 40 mph, producing a slight haze.  Tuesday’s high: 91.  Wednesday will be sunny and windy with a slight haze and a high of 90.  Thursday will be mostly sunny with gusts to near 40 mph.  We could see a slight haze on Thursday afternoon with a high of 89.  The winds lighten up on Friday as we cool down to 85 under partly cloudy skies.
