BAY COUNTY — Bay County has a few hidden gems where you can find some of the best flavors of wine. 

Whether it's a sangria, mimosa or imported from around the world, you can find a great glass of wine at local wine bars, wineries and even coffee shops. So take some time to try something new this week and explore these five local wine shops around Bay County.

Smashed Wine Bar

Smashed Wine Bar recently opened in Panama City Beach as Bay County's first self-serve wine bar. The new wine bar sells everything from handcrafted wines to hard seltzers to Delta-8 infused cocktails.

Smashed features flavors from all over the world, including 12 self-serve wine options along with handcrafted wines topped with a freeze-dried fruit or candy topping. More popular offerings at Smashed include the honey and prosecco mixture called Honey Girl and a fruit punch and key lime mixture with a touch of rosé called Florida Man.

Select wines are sold by glass or bottle, so it is enough for you and your friends to enjoy a night out at Smashed. The business also hosts community-oriented events, such as wine tastings and paint and sips, and offers daily specials.

Burgunbarrel

Burgunbarrel welcomes some of the finest wine at its wine bar. Guests can purchase a glass or a bottle of a wide selection of red, white, rosé and bubbly wines.

Caffé Del Mundo

Caffé Del Mundo is more than just an ordinary coffee shop. It transforms into a wine bar in the afternoons, welcoming flavors from around the world, including various options of sangrias and wines.

Enjoy a glass or bottle of select options of sangria flavors from Prosecco Peach, the sangria version of a Bellini with peaches and bubbles, to Ethiopian Coffee Sangria, a rich red wine blend with a splash of cold brew, apples and cinnamon. The eatery offers seven flavors of wine, both international and national mixes of sweet and dry wine.
