Poliziano was established in 1961 by Dino Carletti. His son Federico took over the winery in the '70s and '80s raising the quality and vineyards to a world class standard in the region, capturing the finest expression of the unique climate and soil of this part of Tuscany.

The grapes are being sourced from the most southern parts of the region contributing to the beautiful ripeness of the Sangiovese. Wonderful aromatics of cherries, tobacco and herbs fill the glass. Flavors of black cherry, plum, licorice and a silky mouthfeel fill the palate. The wine is sleek and elegant with polished tannins. A superb Tuscan wine at a unbelievable price.

Pair with: Pasta Bolognese, grilled pork tenderloin, sausage stuffed mushrooms, grilled chicken thighs, steak tacos or serve with a hard Italian cheese.

Price: $18.99
