Wine, sand and sun: Here's everything you need to know about Ocean City's 2023 Wine Fest

With a wine glass in hand, your feet in the sand and a view as grand as the Atlantic Ocean, there's nothing to whine about at Ocean City's annual Wine Fest.

Here's everything you need to know about the beloved, wine-filled event.

Where is Wine Fest being held?

This year's Wine Fest - "Wine on the Beach" - is to be held at the Ocean City Inlet parking lot, located at 809 S Atlantic Ave. The festival is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 8-9.

There are parking lots designated for the festival, or attendees can opt to take the resort town's municipal buses. Re-entry is permitted with a wristband for those who must leave during festival hours.

What wineries and breweries will be on-site?

From countless renowned vineyards to craft vendors to local live entertainment, there is no shortage of fun at Wine Fest. Here's a look at which Maryland-based wineries and breweries will be featured at this year's festival.

Where can I buy tickets?

Be sure to purchase your ticket for Wine Fest in advance, as they are limited and may not be available at the gate. All tickets are non-refundable and good for one-day general admission on either Friday or Saturday. Secure your tickets online now. All tickets will be sent immediately via email and can be printed or scanned with a smart phone. Advance tickets are also on sale at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center.

General admission is $35 and includes a souvenir wine glass and wine samples with photo ID. Admission for children ages 13-20 is $15, and under 12 is free. All children must be accompanied by parent upon entering the festival. Groups of 10 or more are discounted at the gate, with $2 off per person in groups of 10. Seniors 55 and older who show photo ID will be discounted at the gate, with $2 off per person.

What can I bring inside festival grounds?

Festival attendees may bring chairs, blankets, small umbrellas - not beach umbrellas - and small, foldable tables. Little wagons to tote around items are also allowed. All bags are subject to search.

No coolers or outside food or beverages are permitted inside festival grounds. Pop-up tents of any size are also not allowed. No pets, except those that are service animals, are permitted inside.

What is the weather forecast?

Wine Fest will take place rain or shine. But, luckily, it's looking to be yet another warm weekend along the Eastern Shore. Stock up on sunscreen, as sunshine is expected.

The Weather Channel is calling for intervals of clouds and sunshine on both Friday and Saturday. Light winds from 5 to 15 mph are expected. Due to temperatures reaching a high of 80 to 85 degrees, a stray shower or thunderstorm is possible.
