The Winfield-Mount Union and Wapello high school volleyball teams will meet in a winner-takes-all match.

Winfield-Mount Union disposed f Twin Cedars, 25-13, 25-11, 25-12 in a Class 1A regional first-round match Monday at Winfield, while Wapello knocked out Keota, 25-11, 25-15, 25-11 in a regional first-round match at Wapello.

Winfield-Mount Union (23-9) and Wapello (16-19) will play in a Class 1A regional quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Winfield.

The SEI Superconference North Division rivals split a pair of matches during the regular season, each sweeping on their home court.

Melina Oepping had 13 kills, one assist, seven digs and one block for the Wolves, while Bradie Buffington had nine kills, one assist, three aces and four blocks, Keely Malone had three kills, 23 assists, three digs and one block, Lily Freeman had two kills and two blocks, Audrie Gipple had two kills and one dig, Keetyn Townsley had six aces and 17 digs, Tessa Huston had two aces and five dibs and Aurey Meeker had three digs.

Jacie Hoeg had two kills, 26 assists, one ace and 11 digs for Wapello, while Emily Hemphill had seven kills, four aces, 16 digs and two blocks, Tyra Lanz had six kills and one block, Quinn Veach had five kills, 11 digs and two blocks, Madelyn Lanz had five kills, Lyv Malone had one kill, two assists and 16 digs, Rachel Hoeg had two kills and three digs, Montana Boline had one kill, two digs and one block, Livy Fuller had one ace and two digs and Alexis Tomson had two kills and one dig.

NO. 10 HOLY TRINITY 25-25-25, WAYNE 8-2-7: Mary Kate Bendlage had 13 kills and eight digs and Presley Myers had 10 kills and five blocks to lead the Crusaders to a Class 1A regional first-round win at Shottenkirk Gymnasium in Fort Madison.

Also for the Crusaders, Kayla Box had three kills, Taegan Denning had one kill, six aces, six digs and four blocks, Brooke Mueller had four kills, 11 aces and nine digs, Teagan Snaadt had three digs and Anna Bendlage had 27 assists and six digs.

Holy Trinity (26-15) hosts Sigourney (23-7) in a Class 1A regional quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Shottenkirk Gymnasium.

WACO 25-25-25, MELCHER-DALLAS 11-8-8: The Warriors served up a whopping 31 aces in the Class 1A regional first-round home win.

Grace Coble had three kills, 24 assists and seven aces for the Warriors, while Marie Farmer had five kills, 13 aces and four digs, Ellah Kissell had nine kills and 11 digs, Emma Wagler had six kills, Jacelyn Fulton had three aces and 10 digs, Katie Leichty had four aces and six digs and Meredith Roth had four aces.

WACO (26-6) hosts North Mahaska (20-8) in a Class 1A regional quarterfinal match at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wayland.

DAVIS COUNTY 25-25-25, CENTRAL LEE 18-19-19: Makayla Morrison had 14 kills and 19 digs in the Lady Hawks' Class 3A quarterfinal loss to the Mustangs at Bloomfield.

Also for the Lady Hawks, Kenna Sandoval had 33 assists and five digs, Bailey Schwartz had nine kills, five aces and 13 digs, Taylor Jones had six kills, Alix Congdon had 16 digs and Karissa Moeller had seven digs.

Central Lee ends the season with an 11-18 record.

WEST CENTRAL 25-25, GALVA 16-14: Harlee Hainds had eight kills and eight digs to lead the Heat to a Lincoln Trail Conference win at The Fire Pit in Biggsville, Illinois.

Also for the Heat, Bailey Ryan had five kills and five digs, Shelby Bowman had three kills, one ace and seven digs, Lauren Winters had two kills, Bailie Ferguson had five assists and 10 digs, Libby Miller had eight assists and five digs and Keigan Thacker had one ace.

West Central (16-24 overall, 3-7 LTC) closes out the regular season with a 7 p.m. match Wednesday at Knoxville, Illinois.
