Wing Snob chicken restaurant chain coming to Greater Lansing this June

Chicken wing fans in Greater Lansing are going to have another option to fill their cravings in a couple months at Wing Snob.

Wing Snob, a fast-casual chicken wing restaurant that’s adding 25 new franchise locations in Michigan, has plans to open one of them at 3415 E. Saginaw St.

"We had our eye on the East Lansing market for some time, when space became available in the Frandor area we knew it was the best location for our brand,” Wing Snob Co-founder Jack Mashini said in an emailed statement.

The Saginaw Street location will be 1,760-square-feet and will employ 20 people. Construction is expected to start March 1 with an estimated opening date of June 1.

Wing Snob is based in Warren and was founded in Michigan in 2017 by Mashini and Brian Shunia. Wing Snob offers hormone-free, never frozen chicken wings, chicken tenders, vegetarian-friendly cauliflower wings and French fries with many sauce options, according to a company press release.

Wing Snob has about 20 stores in Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Canada with 20 developing in Florida. The chain’s tagline: “We just have better wings!”

While more than 90% of its business is takeout, curbside and delivery, Wing Snob also offers dine-in seating, according to the press release.

Developers Chintan Patel and Prakash Chaudhari, franchisees who own and operate restaurants throughout the Midwest, will open the 25 Wing Snobs in Michigan over the next four years. Their first two are planned for New Hudson and the Saginaw Street location.
