Sunday's Country Music Television Music Awards featured the genre's favorite stars, and, of course, there were a few Kentuckians in the mix.

The show took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and was hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, and Kentucky artists Carly Pearce and The Judds racked up a few nominations in two categories.

Here's a quick peek at what they were nominated for and how they finished.

Carly Pearce

Pearce didn't bring home any titles, but she was nominated for two: "Female Video of the Year" for her song "What He Didn't Do" along with "CMT Performance of the Year" for her duet of "One Way Ticket" with LeAnn Rimes and Ashley McBryde on the "Crossroads" series.

Pearce is from Taylor Mill, Kentucky, and she left at 16 to pursue a career in music. She has said her roots in the Bluegrass State have shaped her into the musician she is today. She's performed on stages with big-name country stars like Lee Brice and another song with McBryde that recently won a Grammy award.

The Judds

The Judds, formed by mother-daughter duo Naomi and Wynonna, were nominated for their performance of "Love Can Build a Bridge" from the 2022 CMT Awards in the "CMT Performance of the Year" category. They lost the nomination to Cody Johnson's performance of “‘Til You Can’t” from the same year. In addition to their 2023 nomination, the duo has won five Grammys out of nine nominations and nine CMA awards. They were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2021.

The Judds, who are from Ashland, Kentucky, were "music royalty" during the 1980s and early 90s, their website said. Naomi was a nurse who wanted a career in music and started appearing on "The Ralph Emery Show." She caught her break in 1982 when she met Brent Maher, a Nashville producer, who signed the duo with RCA/Curb Records after they gave him a tape and took part a live audition.

Naomi Judd died at 76 last year from struggles with mental illness, according to her daughters.

Wynonna Judd and Brandi Carlile

Wynonna Judd was nominated for her duet of "The Rose" with Brandi Carlile from Naomi Judd: A River of Time Celebration in the "CMT Performance of the Year" category, though she didn't win.

She performed "I Want to Know What Love Is" with McBryde at the show, and, in a tweet of their performance from CMT, Wynonna can be heard shouting Naomi out during the song.

"Mama, you need to be here," she said. "I miss you, and I love you and I don't understand."

In her solo career, Wynonna has been nominated for 13 Grammy awards and won five of them. She also holds several County Music Association awards and Billboard Music awards.
