The sunny weather on Saturday allowed 150 artists to creatively take over downtown Hendersonville for the 26th annual Chalk It Up! art contest.

The results were a panoramic display of colorful creativity, according to event organizer and Narnia Studios owner Barbara Hughes.

Categories for the contest were 5 and under, 6-8 years old, 9-12 years old, 13-20 years, 21 and over, professional. The event was free, and the chalk was provided with each artist receiving 20 different colors.
