Winner's Brady Fritz, Howard's Sam Aslesen power Blue all-stars over White all-stars at Sanford Pentagon

Apr. 17—Winner's Brady Fritz and Howard's Sam Aslesen paced the Blue all-stars to a 99-94 win over the White all-stars at the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association/Sanford Pentagon all-star games on Saturday.

Fritz finished with 16 points and four 3-pointers, while Aslesen posted 13 points and eight rebounds. Fritz and Aslesen will play basketball next season at Dakota Wesleyan University.

Canistota's Tyce Ortman netted seven points in the win. Dell Rapids' Collin Rentz tossed in 16 points.

For the White all-stars, Mitchell's Zane Alm recorded 10 points, 16 boards and five blocked shots. Vermillion's Jakob Dobney led the way with 15 points.

In the girls contest, the White all-stars picked up a 106-75 over the Blue all-stars. White River's Caelyn Valandra-Prue posted 20 points in the win. Menno's Morgan Edelman, a DWU recruit, finished with six points, six assists and 10 rebounds.

For the Blue all-stars, St. Thomas More's Haleigh Timmer finished with 15 points. Winner's Kalla Bertram followed with 14 points and five rebounds. Corsica-Stickney's Raven Barse logged 10 points and five rebounds.
