Winning $50,000 Powerball ticket sold at gas station in Coweta County

Someone bought a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 at a Coweta County gas station for Monday night’s drawing.

That ticket was purchased at Newnan Chevron, located at 20 Hampton Way in Newnan.

There were no winning tickets sold for the jackpot or Match 5.

The next drawing is Wednesday, March 1 with the jackpot estimated to be $143 million.

The winning numbers for the Feb. 27 drawing are 16, 28, 49, 51, 55 and the Powerball number is 23.

Prizes $600 and under can be claimed at any Georgia Lottery retail location.

All prizes can be claimed through the mail by mailing Georgia Lottery Corporation, P.O. Box 56966, Atlanta, GA 30343.

If you’d like to claim your prize of $601 or greater in person, you can do so at Georgia Lottery Headquarters or any Georgia Lottery district office.

Remember tickets do expire.

For tickets purchased online, winners have 180 days from the drawing date on the ticket to claim a prize.

For instant tickets, winners have 90 days from the expired date to claim a prize.
