Winston man dies in Sunday evening crash

Jul. 25—A 68-year-old Winston, Missouri, man died in a one-vehicle crash in Daviess County on Sunday.

William D. Mastin was driving a 2005 John Deer Buck 500 on private property south of Ridge Avenue and a mile north of Winston, Missouri, when the vehicle overturned as he was crossing rough terrain, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Mastin was ejected from the vehicle, and it landed on top of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to crash reports.
