Winter 2021 Restaurant Week Features McLean, Tysons Restaurants
TYSONS, VA — With cold weather and COVID-19 pandemic in the mix, winter is a difficult time for restaurants in our region. This year, foodies can support restaurants and score specials during the annual winter 2021 Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week.
Hosted by Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, the restaurant week will take place from Monday, Jan. 25 to Sunday, Feb. 7, concluding on Super Bowl Sunday. The event had originally been planned to start during Inauguration Week but was pushed back due to DC's state of emergency and security measures throughout the week.
After security measures are lifted after the Inauguration Week activities, what better way to celebrate than with a meal from your favorite restaurant? Participating restaurants in DC, Virginia and Maryland will offer multi-course dinner menus for $35 or $55 per person. Many restaurants will also offer specially priced to-go dinner meals at two price points for two or four people. Some restaurants will have to-go cocktail and wine pairings.
Winter Restaurant Week seeks to support the hospitality industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like the summer 2020 restaurant week, the upcoming event has a focus on takeout and delivery as restrictions on dine-in service continue in the metropolitan region.
